Secure Shopping

Trailcom is conscious of the need for privacy & security for your Internet shopping experience.

We use sophisticated encryption technology. This means at the checkout, our servers and your PC encrypt (scramble) everything that you enter into your computer, such as credit card details, billing and delivery address. Because it is encrypted, other computers are unable to make sense of it, therefore keeping this information private.

There are visual clues on screen that tell you when you have entered a secure environment. In the bottom of your browser, the key or padlock icon, which is normally broken, becomes solid.

As part of the software used by Trailcom there are secure processes built into the store. Specifically the engine ensures:

  • Every order has a unique number
  • Every order is logged in a robust database
  • All your payment details can only be retrieved by Trailcom in an encrypted session
  • Confirmation emails of your order are sent to you the customer

Email Policy

We only email you if you want us to. We do not send unsolicited emails. When you register your email address with us you go on a list to receive email announcements about products, offers and promotions from Trailcom. We do not disclose your email address to third parties.

Every email message we send includes an email address to which you can respond. If at any time you decide you do not want to receive our emails simply click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the newsletter. This will remove your email address from our mailing list. If you unsubscribe you will still receive emails specifically related to your online orders.

Delivery Policy

Delivery charges are calculated and added to your order after you enter your delivery location and before you enter your payment details. You get to see the full charge before completing your purchase.

We support delivery of all of our products anywhere in New Zealand; however some isolated regions may require additional delivery time. If this is the case for your area we will notify you of this. We do not deliver outside New Zealand, however overseas orders may still be placed with a New Zealand delivery address.

The anticipated delivery time will be within 2-4 working days unless an item ordered is out of stock in which case you will be notified of the expected additional delay.

Deliveries are made by courier. The delivery company used is dependent on your delivery location and the size of the items ordered. Our delivery charges are as follows:

Rest of North Island: $7.50 $14.00 $24.50 $85.00
South Island $9.50 $24.50 $37.50 $175.00

Note that higher charges will apply for large/heavy items and also for deliveries to some rural and remote areas. We will advise you by email when you place your order if a higher delivery charge is required. We will not send the goods without your approval of this higher rate.

Description of Products

Each product purchased is sold subject to its Product Description. We will take all reasonable care to ensure that all details, descriptions and prices of products appearing on the Website are correct at the time when the relevant information was entered onto the system. Although we aim to keep the Website as up to date as possible, the information, including Product Descriptions, appearing on this Website at a particular time may not always reflect the position at the exact moment you place an order.

Returns & Damaged Goods Policy

At Trailcom, we stand by the quality of our product and we make things right if you are not satisfied with your purchase.

You can return any product you buy from us for a full refund or exchange within 14 days of purchase, no matter what the reason. The product must be returned in its original condition with packaging and invoice.

Delivery charges are non-refundable.

To return product please visit your nearest Trailcom store with a copy of your invoice. If you do not live close to one of our stores then please call us on 0800 876 526 and we will advise you on how best to return the goods to us.

If the goods have been damaged in transit please call us on 0800 876 526 and we will arrange to replace the damaged product(s).

Pricing Policy

All prices are stated in New Zealand dollars and exclude GST. GST will be added to the order at checkout. All prices on this website are consistent with prices offered in Trailcom stores.

Site Usage Terms

This site and its content is made available for the purposes of shopping online with Trailcom and providing information about Trailcom's products.

Reproduction of the images and text on this site for any other purposes is prohibited.
