BLEEDING INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Mount the master cylinder to the coupling bracket.
  2. Connect the push rod from the unit to the park brake lever.
  3. Remove the reservoir cap and add new clean Dot 3 or Dot 4 good quality brake fluid from a clean container to within 10mm of the top of the reservoir. Do not connect the brake line to the cylinder at this time.
  4. Gently activate the lever (a partial stroke is usually all that is required) until fluid begins to discharge from the port, then connect the brake line to the cylinder. Continue to bleed the brakes in the usual manner.

Remember that on trailers fitted with four wheel brakes the wheels furthest away from the master cylinder must be bleed first.

If the brake system has been dismantled for any reason ensure that the brake hoses are located in the lower ports of each caliper. The bleed screws MUST be in the uppermost ports to allow successful bleeding to be achieved.
